Catherine Dubois was born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in the Montérégie. In 2008, she completed her studies in social sciences at Cégep de Valleyfield. She then pursued her art studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She graduated with a certificate in visual arts in 2009 and a bachelor’s degree in visual and media arts (BFA) in 2012.

Over the course of her degree, she participated in various student group exhibitions. In 2012, she was part of the graduation exhibition, “Passage à découvert”, held at Galerie de l’UQAM.
